Engaging Youth... Enhancing Lives... Bridging Generations
a 501(c)3 status Non-Profit serving Central Texas
Hear from our participants:
"I love listening to my senior friends' stories as we create art together."
Olivia, 12 year old Youth Participant
"Of course I like the art projects and kids, but what I really love is that someone from the community cares about us. Many of our interactions are with our family, staff, doctors and caregiviers. It is nice to have other people from the community join us. People forget, we use to be you and one day you will be us"
Lorene, 96 Year Old Participant
"I love being apart of Y2S, I feel that it provides me with a beautiful opportunity to give back to the community as well as be apart of a solution I believe our culture needs. The ability to connect generations together under the canopy of creativity and relationship is a priceless circumstance and a communal gift that touches many hearts."
Kati, Intergenerational Art Teacher
One of the many things that Brian and I love about having our family involved in Youth2Seniors is that we have observed how creating art together in the Youth2Seniors program is something that transcends different generations and opens the door to the language of friendship, respect, and appreciation for each individual. Creating art together creates smiles on faces of all ages!
Brian & Apryl, Parents of Youth Participants
"I like Youth2Seniors because it makes me feel good to help seniors and I have fun doing activities with them."
Brooke, Youth Participant
